Hands and Home Review and Giveaway Policy

Review Policy

My name is Bonnie and I live in Southern Ontario, Canada. I am an avid reader and am flattered when authors or publishers request me to review their books.

When requesting a review I ask that you send me a detailed description of your book as well as a link to your website. My first choice is always a paper copy of your book to review however I also accept ebooks (I prefer Kindle files but I can also review epub and .pdf files). My reviews are strictly based on my own opinion of the book I read. I do not promise a positive review, but I will write an honest review. If I could not finish your book I will post a feature with a description of your book from Goodreads (or other such site). I will explain in the post that I did not review this book because it was not a fit for me and I did not finish it. Accepting your book for review does not gurantee that it will be reviewed. 

Preferred Genres (Please read carefully):

I reserve the right to refuse to review a book based on the subject matter. I enjoy reading Contemporary Fiction, Christian or Literary Fiction, Young Adult, Paranormal/Fantasy, Women’s Fiction, Cultural Fiction, Fantasy, Craft and Sewing books. I will not review Horror, Erotica, or books containing strong violence or psychological/physical torture.

I love reading indie authors and if you have a self-published book that falls into one of my preferred genres please don't hesitate to send me a review request.

All books provided to me for review (print or electronic) will remain my property and I will not resell review copies nor distribute ebooks.

I cannot provide you a timeframe as to when I will post your review, but I do promise to send you an email with the link as soon as your review is ready.  If you need your review posted on a particular date (ie. to correspond with a Blog Tour) please let me know this at the time of requesting review and I will do my best to accommodate.

I try to respond to all email requests within one week. If you do not hear back from me in this timeframe please assume I did not receive your email and feel free to resend your request.

Giveaway Policy

Unless otherwise stated winners are chosen using Random.org. You must provide me with your email address at the time of entering the giveaway so that I can contact you if you are the winner. I will also post the winner’s name on handsandhome.ca. You will have 48 hours to respond to my email advising you of your win, otherwise another winner will be chosen.

I ship all giveaway items through Canada Post parcel mail with a tracking number unless otherwise stated. Delivery timelines will vary depending your location. I guarantee that all items are shipped in new condition however I am not responsible for items that arrive damaged due to mail delivery service. I will provide you with a tracking number when your item is shipped when possible however I am not responsible for lost or stolen items.
