It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

Welcome to It's Monday! What Are You Reading? This is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well…. you never know where that next "must read" book will come from.

Becca Bloom and the Drumsticks of Doom by Rusty Fischer

Your drumsticks . . . or your life!

Becca Bloom never knew she had a father, let alone a rock star god who’d sold his soul to the devil for success! Now, with her Dad dead, it’s up to Becca to keep her father’s Drumsticks of Doom from the bloodthirsty demon who wants them back!

I don't know if you have had the pleasure to read Rusty Fischer before but he is the incredibly talented author of Zombies Don't Cry (as well as Vamplayers, Ushers Inc. and Panty Raid @ Zombie High). I just love his writing, think intentional B-rate, cheesy, horror flick writing with plenty of wit and snark and just enough humour to keep you thoroughly entertained. Cannot wait to start this one later tonight!

Pure by Jennifer L. Armentroug (Covenant #2)

There is need. And then there is Fate…

Being destined to become some kind of supernatural electrical outlet isn't exactly awesome–especially when Alexandria's "other half" is everywhere she goes. Seth's in her training room, outside her classes, and keeps showing up in her bedroom–so not cool. Their connection does have some benefits, like staving off her nightmares of the tragic showdown with her mother, but it has no effect on what Alex feels for the forbidden, pure-blooded Aiden. Or what he will do–and sacrifice–for her.

When daimons infiltrate the Covenants and attack students, the gods send furies–lesser gods determined to eradicate any threat to the Covenants and to the gods, and that includes the Apollyon… and Alex. And if that and hordes of aether-sucking monsters didn't blow bad enough, a mysterious threat seems willing to do anything to neutralize Seth, even if that means forcing Alex into servitude… or killing her.

When the gods are involved, some decisions can never, ever be undone.

I have been so excited to continue the series since I read Half-Blood last July. Can't wait to see what happens next!!!

And what about you? What are you reading this week?
