Looking For Some Halloween Reads
I have to admit I haven't much been in the mood for Halloween reads yet. Maybe it was because up until the start of this week we were having near summer like weather, or maybe it is because I really don't like horror novels.
But something got into me today and I feel like need a bit of a reading change and I'm looking for some Halloween appropriate reads (that aren't full of extreme gore).
Maybe it was seeing the excerpt of Ushers Inc. that Rusty Fischer is offering on Scribd (because this is exactly the sort of not horrifying Halloween read I am looking for).
So do you have any suggestions? I'm not too picky, Zombies, Vampires, Werewolves, Witches are fine by me. I love a bit of comedy or satire, just nothing that will keep me up at night ok? I have 2 young kids and I am up enough as it is!

I don't but I'll return so I can see what everyone else says
You can't go wrong with Rusty, Bonnie!
I'm about to read Ushers, too, for my MIYA event (coming up Nov 20th) and am soooo looking forward to it!
(reading second part just now!)
I have one more sugesstion for you – look for Jnonatham Maberry's Rot&Ruin and Dust&Decay – so fab! Not a gore/scary read, but super engaging and wow, so emotional! I am LOVING it!

Evie!!!!! It is so great to “see” you again girl!!! Thanks so much for the suggestions I am definitely going to go check them out. I’m finding it really easy to find reads that will freak me out enough to send me crawling into bed with my kids but not much in the “just scary enough for a sissy” category that is still a good read!
